Sibling Love--Sept 2011

The older Kallen gets the more fun Raya has playing with him. They're pretty hilarious together. Kallen's favorite thing is trying to grab Raya's pacifier outta her mouth. They both laugh so hard when he tries to get it.

Raya LOVES to hold his hands and dance with him. She use to do the same thing to our dog :) Every time a song comes on she grabs Kallen's hands and tries to get him to stand up and "dance" with her.

 A little WWF

When Kallen cries Raya tells me "The baby's sad" or "Kallen's sad" and grabs my hand to take me to him. Its so cute how caring she is towards him. They really are buddies. They are so much like how my brother and I are. Its very sweet to watch them together.

I have the CUTEST video of them giving kisses to each other. The lighting is bad so you can't see it too clearly, but Kallen's faces were priceless. It was one of the best things I've ever seen them do. Like "Melt your Heart" cute! For some reason I couldn't upload it here so heres the Youtube link if you're interested :) It gets good about a minute into it.

So I remember when I was pregnant and went to Costco I got so excited thinking about having TWO kids to sit in each side of the double seated Costco cart :) So during out last trip the moment I'd waited forever for happened! LOL. Its the little things ;)

And they take really great group shots ;) I love my babies!!!

Keeping Up With Kallen--- 8 Months Old!!!

Kallen was 8 months old yesterday, Sept 3rd, 2011. This kid has kicked into full speed in the growing department. STOP IT!!! Its really fun getting glimpses of his personality and watching him get stronger and more active, but it still breaks my heart knowing the window of "Baby" is slowing closing. And because he's most likely my last baby I think its even harder. Last night I was holding him while he slept in my arms and thinking about how in a year in a half he'll be Raya's age and he wouldn't be my small little cuddle bug sleeping in my arms. That KILLS me.
But anyways, back to my boy.

He's crawling and pulling up on everything. I was pretty sure there was no way he was going to walk at 9 months, or be even close to it at 9 months, but this week I changed my mind. He'll pull himself up on the couch and let go for a split second and then grab it. He can by no means stand without support, but for a split second he can let go and hold on again without falling....so I might end up having 2 early walkers. I still don't think it'll be in his 9th month, but there's a good chance it will be close. And he's probably going to be cruising the furniture in the next week or so.

He weighs 22lbs. I'm not sure how long he is. Probably at least 29 inches. He's still in the 95percentile for weight and I think 65-75percentile for height. His 2 bottom teeth are growing in. I don't see any other ones about to break through. He's in 12month clothes and size 4 diapers. I think he's in size 3 shoes. I'm not sure, I never put shoes on his sausage feet :)

He's eating baby food. I think he might be ready for tiny bits of real food. So far every time I've given him real food he's gagged. Even smashed up bananas. Lol. Last night I gave him really small pieces of macaroni and cheese and he LOVED it. He was smacking and licking his lips. It was so cute. And no gagging!

In the last week he's gotten a little feisty with me. I'm so use to this cool and calm kid so the first time he did it it caught me off guard. When I take something away from you that he's really loving- usually a wrapper from Raya's fruit snacks- he gets so mad! And cries the maddest cry. Instantly. Its clearly a pissed off cry. And it sounds like he's "yelling" at me. Its so funny to see the little bits and pieces of his growing personality. I wonder what else he has in store for me.

He started off his 8th month in his Razorback Red. I was thinking it was his first Razorback game but ACTUALLY the day we got home from the hospital with him they were playing in the Sugar Bowl. It was a diapointing game, so this weekend's season opener was a much better one to be alert for ;) We didn't get to watch it because it wasn't televised, but he dressed up for it!

And whats the most important thing to learn when you turn 8 months? How to Call Those HOGSSSS!!!!

And he waves! He did it for the first time to the cute girl checking us out at Costco. I'm sure Daddy's proud ;) And then he waved when the babysitters came over (Bryce, Tara and Grandma) And then to my Dad when he got in town. Its really the cutest wave ever, just saying.

Kallen,
You are the most beautiful baby boy. I seriously look at you all day long and think "how are you so cute?!!?" You really are gorgeous.  You are so easy and so fun and soooo sweet. Almost every time you look at me you smile and your eyes tell me all I need to know: That you love me as much as I love you and you truly are a Mama's boy. When you have a baby everyone talks about loving this new thing like you've never loved anything before. I don't remember anyone telling me that this new thing would love me like I'd never been loved before. You complete me in a way I never knew I needed to be. I'm so thankful for you and so lucky to have such a sweet baby boy. Just stop growing so fast! I love you.
Xoxo,
Mom

CRACKle Nail Polish and some other things I'm l♥ving

I think I've only done one What I'm Loving Wednesday...but I've been obsessed with Crackle Nail Polish the last few weeks and so many people notice it and ask about it that I thought I'd share! So today I'm linking up with Jamie at This Kind of Love for:

I'm l♥ving Crackle Nail Polish. This first picture is my favorite combo. Its gold polish with black crackle on top. It looks leopard printish. Which I Love!!!

There's a couple of different brands of crackle polish. One of my friends uses the Sally Hansen brand, which I've yet to find. I got both my crackles off Amazon. I do know you can also get them at Ulta. You paint your nails with a base coat. You have to have a base coat for it to work. When the base is totally dry you can paint the crackle on. It goes on just like regular polish but with 5-10 seconds it starts to dry and crack. The black looks a little dusty and the pink looks a little dull, but once you put a clear coat over it you're good to go. If you notice in my leopard printish polish my 2 middle nails have big cracks and the 2 outside nails have thinner cracks...this is due to how much polish you use. The thicker the coat the bigger the cracks. I love the middle nails. The big cracks look really good and I feel like you can see the color under much better. So to do that you have to use a good amount of polish. It took me a couple manicures to get it down. You can only use one coat of it, and you cant go over the crackle. If you notice on the outside nails towards the base of my nail is looks like I missed spots. That because the brush touched polish I had already put down. So it works best to go from one side of the nail to the other in about 3 good strokes. And practice makes perfect :)

I didn't notice a difference in the brands. The reviews on Amazon talk about Mia being cheap and not working well...I didn't have any problems with it. It worked great for me. As did the China Glaze in pink. And they're both the same price. Maybe a few pennys difference.

I've being using my neon yellow/green a lot this summer so this is it with the black crackle over it. I hate feet pictures, sorry! But I didn't do this combo on my hands...

At first I really didn't like the pink. It was kinda a dull pink. Nothing really exciting about it. But over white is looks awesome! So far thats the only color combo I've really liked with the pink. I did the neon yellow under it and that looked pretty good too. I'll probably try black under it come fall.

I used this glitter polish because I was going to do the pink crackle over it, but after I finished with just the glitter I liked it too much to put the pink on top. This is some of my favorite glitter polish!!! Its by SinfulPolish. Its a super cheap brand I found at Target. I put in on Raya's toes and wasn't really impressed because it left like 5 pieces of glitter on each toe. But then I played around with it and figured out if I PILED it on my nails it would look like it does in the jar. Gahhh, I love glitter :)

Finally, I've been using the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polish and really liking it. I HATE when my polish chips so I've tried a million different top coats that claim they last forever. Well, forever, not so much. But this one has worked the best. And its Sally Hansens cheap line. I'm pretty sure it was 99cents at Target. The Xtreme Wear is a whole line, so they make it in all kinds of colors too. I used the concrete grey with the top coat and got a good week out of it with no chipping. That's amazing!!!

This is the neon yellow Raya and I have had on our toes almost all summer :)

I'm l♥ving Instagram. This is such a great app! It's not new. I've had if for awhile, but it never gets old. If you're on, leave your Instagram name in the comments. I love following people!!! Here's some of my favorite Instagram pictures lately. Oh and my Instagram name is Kelseylatelyyy

I'm l♥ving planning my Wedding. WAIT, WHAT?! Haha. No, there's no date set. But Pinterest is helping me plan it so when we DO set a date I'll have a plethora of ideas :) You know me, I'm always prepared.

Instead of Kallen being a ring bearer he's going to carry this

I'm pretty sure all my bridesmaids will wear something different but that coordinates. I think this looks fun for a more casual wedding.

Haha! We HAVE to have this. But hopefully they can personalize it cause I'm not redheaded and Gentry's not white ;)

We always change our "color scheme," but I'm liking this colors alot right now!!! I think I'd need a pop of bright color to go with it though. Maybe a brighter teal...

Happy Hump Day!!!
