Nail Effects ♥ ♥ ♥

I haven't done a What I'm Loving Wednesday in awhile, (and I actually did this one last week but didn't add it to the WILW list until right before midnight) and I've been meaning to because I've become OBSESSED with the Sally Hansen Nail Effects. They're nail polish stickers that are freakin amazing. I CANT STAND when my nail polish chips and because I wash my hands 478 times a day it usually chips the morning after I paint them. Wellllll, not with these bad boys. I get a solid week out of them and the 7 days after that they still look good enough to usually keep them on for a full 2 weeks. (The package says they stay on for up to 10 days)

So I don't know the scientific reasoning behind them. They're made from real nail polish, but when you get them and peel them off the backing they feel like a thin, stretchy sticker. They come with directions that are easy to follow, but basically after prepping your nails you find the ones that match your nail size and press them on like a sticker. After you rub them down a little you file the extra off the top. They're SUPER easy. And if you have short nails like me you can cut them in half and get 2 full manicures from one box. NOTE- they come in an air tight container. There's 8 stickers in each airtight package. And theres 2 packages in every box. You get 8 stickers so you can pick the best 5 that fit your nails. Each package is for one hand, but like I said, if you cut them in half you can cover all 10 of your nails with one package and save the other package for a whole new manicure. But DO NOT open the airtight package until you're ready to do your nails. I opened one to get an extra nail out and then when I went back to it a week later to touch up a nail all the stickers had lost their stickiness and I had to throw them away. So the air tight seal definitely has something to do with their effectiveness, just an FYI :)

There's a TON of different patterns, glitter and solid colors. I got a bunch for Christmas and my Birthday and I can hardly wait to use them all. Lol. I most recently did the black and white pattern and got a ridiculous amount of compliments. Man, I wish I could sell these things like Mary Kay. I'd be so rich. Haha.

Decisions, decisions...

Sooo, if you're looking for nail polish that lasts, is super easy and looks like a professional manicure, these are perfect! At Target they're $8.50 and at Walgreens they're closer to $12, but lately they've been doing a Buy One get One 50% Off, so not too bad. They're definitely pricier than nail polish, but so worth it. And now that I think about it, if you're buying OPI they're probably cheaper!

I've also put a clear coat over the top the morning after I put them on and touch it up with a clear coat after the first week and seem to get a little longer wear outta them.

Annnnddddd, I did Raya's nails too :) Since I only used 5 strips from one package, I cut the other 3 into smaller pieces and used them to do Raya's.

CRACKle Nail Polish and some other things I'm l♥ving

I think I've only done one What I'm Loving Wednesday...but I've been obsessed with Crackle Nail Polish the last few weeks and so many people notice it and ask about it that I thought I'd share! So today I'm linking up with Jamie at This Kind of Love for:

I'm lving Crackle Nail Polish. This first picture is my favorite combo. Its gold polish with black crackle on top. It looks leopard printish. Which I Love!!!

There's a couple of different brands of crackle polish. One of my friends uses the Sally Hansen brand, which I've yet to find. I got both my crackles off Amazon. I do know you can also get them at Ulta. You paint your nails with a base coat. You have to have a base coat for it to work. When the base is totally dry you can paint the crackle on. It goes on just like regular polish but with 5-10 seconds it starts to dry and crack. The black looks a little dusty and the pink looks a little dull, but once you put a clear coat over it you're good to go. If you notice in my leopard printish polish my 2 middle nails have big cracks and the 2 outside nails have thinner cracks...this is due to how much polish you use. The thicker the coat the bigger the cracks. I love the middle nails. The big cracks look really good and I feel like you can see the color under much better. So to do that you have to use a good amount of polish. It took me a couple manicures to get it down. You can only use one coat of it, and you cant go over the crackle. If you notice on the outside nails towards the base of my nail is looks like I missed spots. That because the brush touched polish I had already put down. So it works best to go from one side of the nail to the other in about 3 good strokes. And practice makes perfect :)

I didn't notice a difference in the brands. The reviews on Amazon talk about Mia being cheap and not working well...I didn't have any problems with it. It worked great for me. As did the China Glaze in pink. And they're both the same price. Maybe a few pennys difference.

I've being using my neon yellow/green a lot this summer so this is it with the black crackle over it. I hate feet pictures, sorry! But I didn't do this combo on my hands...

At first I really didn't like the pink. It was kinda a dull pink. Nothing really exciting about it. But over white is looks awesome! So far thats the only color combo I've really liked with the pink. I did the neon yellow under it and that looked pretty good too. I'll probably try black under it come fall.

I used this glitter polish because I was going to do the pink crackle over it, but after I finished with just the glitter I liked it too much to put the pink on top. This is some of my favorite glitter polish!!! Its by SinfulPolish. Its a super cheap brand I found at Target. I put in on Raya's toes and wasn't really impressed because it left like 5 pieces of glitter on each toe. But then I played around with it and figured out if I PILED it on my nails it would look like it does in the jar. Gahhh, I love glitter :)

Finally, I've been using the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polish and really liking it. I HATE when my polish chips so I've tried a million different top coats that claim they last forever. Well, forever, not so much. But this one has worked the best. And its Sally Hansens cheap line. I'm pretty sure it was 99cents at Target. The Xtreme Wear is a whole line, so they make it in all kinds of colors too. I used the concrete grey with the top coat and got a good week out of it with no chipping. That's amazing!!!

This is the neon yellow Raya and I have had on our toes almost all summer :)

I'm lving Instagram. This is such a great app! It's not new. I've had if for awhile, but it never gets old. If you're on, leave your Instagram name in the comments. I love following people!!! Here's some of my favorite Instagram pictures lately. Oh and my Instagram name is Kelseylatelyyy

I'm lving planning my Wedding. WAIT, WHAT?! Haha. No, there's no date set. But Pinterest is helping me plan it so when we DO set a date I'll have a plethora of ideas :) You know me, I'm always prepared.

Instead of Kallen being a ring bearer he's going to carry this

I'm pretty sure all my bridesmaids will wear something different but that coordinates. I think this looks fun for a more casual wedding.

Haha! We HAVE to have this. But hopefully they can personalize it cause I'm not redheaded and Gentry's not white ;)

We always change our "color scheme," but I'm liking this colors alot right now!!! I think I'd need a pop of bright color to go with it though. Maybe a brighter teal...

Happy Hump Day!!!

What I'm Loving WEDNESDAY!!!!

Linking up with Jamie at This Kind of Love for What I'm Loving Wednesday. I love ALOT of things :) So I can't pass up an opportunity to blog it up!

I'm lving Magenta!
I can't get enough of this color right now. The picture of the nail polish doesn't do it justice. Its much more of a pinky-bright purple then what its showing up. It looks fabulous on!! And cute on little 2yr old toes too :)

I'm lving pictures with my iPhone. Its no surprise it takes great pictures...I have over 3,000 on my phone :) but I can't get enough of the photo editing Apps. I used ColorSplash to bring the color back to his eyes and then used Instagram to put a filter on it. His eyes are still a dark slate grey, so the sun reflected beautifully in them. Possibly my favorite picture of him to date.

I'm lving Jenny Craig. So weird, I know...but I've been thinking about doing it for about a month and yesterday on Good Morning America it got the best reviews and then this morning it scored highest in the taste test. Oh and Oprah yesterday was all about weight loss, so I can take a sign :) Haha! Oprah was about 100+ lb weight loss...I'm only looking to lose about 15. My goal is to be able to wear my old favorite shorts. We shall see!

I'm lving headbands on little blond heads. She hates things in her hair, but she wore this long enough to get some cute pictures.

I'm (kinda) lving couponing. It's definitely getting much easier. I started "doing it" about 2 weeks ago. I've only really saved about $10 each trip, but hey, as my mom would say, "It's better than a kick in tha a$$" lol. I was hoping I'd spend like $0.67 for 2 weeks of groceries, but I'm learning that would probably only work if I bought all hotdogs and toothpaste. I did buy the Krazy Coupon Lady book, so I need to read that asap. If you "like" the Krazy Coupon Lady on facebook they post all kinds of great deals throughout the day. And their website/blog has been the most helpful for me. And yes, the Extreme Couponing show on TLC is being DVRed :)

Finally, I'm lving the beautiful weather we've been having!!! It's been Sunny and 70 for like the last week (ok, so it may or may not be like that 90percent of the time here, but still). Its been GREAT! We've had time to be out in the pool and in the yard. Lovin it!
