Raya Recently

So this last week seems like Raya's grown so much! She's all of a sudden a lot smarter than last week. It's like another little light in her brain went off :) She "talks" so much now- and by "talk" I mean she's still speaking her own language, but she points and says things and I'm suppose to know what she means. She still only has about 10 words, but I feel like any week now she's going to be spitting out all kinds of new words. I can talk to her and ask her to do things, or get something and she knows exactly what to do. These last few weeks have been so much fun! She's just showing more and more of her personality and never fails to brighten my day. I'm a lucky girl! She's also hilarious. I know in some of the pictures it comes through, but seriously, this kid is a riot. Pure entertainment.

She learned "Ready, Set, Go" This is her "Set." Just preparing her in case she wants to run track

Nice form!

This little dress was a birthday present from my good friend Olivia. It has a wiener dog on the side. Its so cute!!! And I love the tie straps.

This tutu is also from Olivia. She made it! She's so crafty :)

Her Nike Ad ;)

Nothing sweeter than this face.
And clearly it was a week of pink. I promise I don't always dress her in pink. She's wearing green today!

Book Worm

Raya LOVES books. One of the cutest things is when I come in the room and she's just sitting "reading" a book. She's so into it. She looks like a little student. Makes my day :)

Daddy's Girl

The last few weeks Raya's been such a Daddy's Girl.  They are so cute! These are some pictures of the 2 of them this past week.
So helpful

Probably watching Yo Gabba Gabba...Clearly one of them likes it more than the other ;)

Sunday Stroll

All his bags are packed and he's ready to go!

My brother left Friday for New Mexico. He's starting the Grad program at the University of New Mexico. I'm so very excited for him! He's going to love New Mexico. I've only driven through it, but from what I have heard about the people and state it seems like its going to be a great match for him. And I'm all for leaving the state you've been in all your life to experience another way of living, so I'm so excited that he gets to do it! I'm also super jealous :) I miss school! I hope I can start working on my master's sometime soon too. Until then I'll live vicariously through him. I got some super cute pictures of Raya and him...and one of the 3 of us too. I know I'm going to miss him, but its an excuse to go on a mini-vacay and see him and a new part of the country! I'm so proud of you Bryce! Who would've thought you would started grad school before me!!!??? Crazy the way life works out. You're going to do great things. We love you!
Cute :)

This is my all time favorite picture of them!

So I can see how much Raya grows the next time we see him.

Family <3

All ready to go!

Drive Safely :)

August, You snuck up on me!

I feel like it was just June...geez! Don't have much planned for this month, but keeping our fingers crossed we'll be moving into our new apartment! It's been quite a search for a place to live. So annoying, and tiring, and frustrating...and we finally found a place and they've taken over a week to process our paper work and applications. I'm hoping we'll get a call sometime this week letting us know everything is finished and we can move in!!!! C'mon already :)

When we were out on our walk today I saw a little boy running on the beach and it made me so excited! I haven't really been super excited that much, only because I keep so busy and don't have much time to think about being pregnant, but every once in awhile I'll see something or think of having a newborn and I can't wait!!!

I got to spend the day at the beach with one of my dear friends, Stephanie. We've been good friends since junior high and I visited her and her family at their beach house on Thursday. It was so great to talk and catch up! She has a 3yr old girl and 10 month old boy so it was fun to be around them and talk to her about having one of each. She gets me excited :) Unfortunately I have no pictures! I did almost break my toe on the way over. Tripped over the curb caring Raya and stumbled, but I didn't drop the baby! I figured it wasn't broken a day later because I could still walk, but it hurt like a motha!

So here's some pictures to kick off August!
Just hanging out in the backyard! 15 months old <3

She never did pacifiers, but for some reason she loves this one. It makes me laugh every time.

She loves being in the dog cage. Every time I turn around I'm trying to keep it locked because if I don't someone will make themselves very comfortable in there...

Raya Recently

Raya had nothing to do with her birthday cake, so this was her first cake experience...which she clearly enjoyed :)

Pool Day!

She HATES things on her feet, including footy pajamas...but I found this in her box of 18 month clothes and she let me put them on her. They're so cute! We'll see if she every wears them again.

Can't wait for Dad to flip her!

Seeing if she can pull them off.

It's been so cold here! The news just said it's been the coldest July in the last 99 year! So she hardly gets to wear shorts :( But this was a cute little summer afternoon outfit ;)

She looks like a little English Bulldog
