Zayne- 2 Months

Littlest Dude is 2months old! Ok, almost 3 :) But changing and growing every day! So I gotta do a little updating before I forget all his big firsts! Also, for Raya I do "Raya Recently" and Kallen I do "Keeping up with Kallen" so what can I do for Zayne? Help!!

Ok, whats new with Mr. Zayne. He's a smiling machine! OMGeeee. He smiles with his entire face. Also fantastic as Smizing. Tyra would be proud. Big 'ol gummy smiles just melt my heart. He has a little bit of a giggle. He hasn't let a full out laugh just yet, but he does lots of giggling. Yesterday I took all 3 of them out for a walk in the beast of a stroller that I have (yep, I got a triple stroller!) And he seriously giggled the entire first 20 minutes and then we got to the park he started all over again. I didn't realize how much he doesn't get out! And how easy it is to make his day. With Baby #1 I was out and about all the time. So Raya saw all kinds of new people daily. With Kallen I got out occasionally. I could strap him to me and hold onto Raya or push her in the stroller, but now that I'm REALLY outnumbered we hardly leave the house, so Zayne is just amazed by the world around him when we get out. I feel like I'm constantly apologizing to him. Lol! Sorry for it always being so loud when hes trying to sleep, sorry that his brother or sister are all up in his grill, sorry that he never gets to see the outside world, sorry that he doesn't get to play on his play mat peacefully. I guess he doesn't know anything else, but I'm annoyed for him. Sometimes Raya and Kallen smother him so much it makes Me crazy! But he never cries about it. Just smiles and looks around.

Ok and last night I'm about 50% sure he rolled over. Twice. He was in an entirely different place on the mat when we came back in the room. And the distance from his original spot was either caused by a complete roll over or a sibling that pulled him. Soooo, when I came back in I asked both kids if they moved the baby and they both said No, so maybe a full roll? And no I don't leave him unattended with the other 2. Well mostly I don't. They're both pretty good around him, so I can walk out and grab some things and come back in and he's totally safe :)

He's also quite the coo-er. He coos and talks to me so much! I remember both of the other ones cooing, but not like Zayne does. I'm loving it!! At his 2month check up he was 12.9pounds and 22.5inches. He's in 3month clothes. Size 2 diapers. Size 1 shoes. He's in the 75percentile for height and 50percentile for weight. That was very similar to Raya. It will be interesting to see how he grows!

He's a very mellow baby. Just takes in the world around him. Watches the craziness that is his living environment. Rarely cries. Really only makes a peep if he's hungry or uncomfortable. He's a great sleeper. Falls asleep easily and sleeps pretty hard. Hes a big time tummy sleeper, so that gives me outrageous anxiety. When he naps he's usually downstairs with us and on his tummy on the couch, so I feel somewhat ok with that. And he sleeps with us at night, but every time I wake up I'm checking to feel for him breathing. Uh! Mom-anxiety is intense. Lol. 

I'm loving every minute I get with him! I don't get to hold him 24/7 like I did with the other 2, so I find myself picking him up and just snuggling him. I'm sooooo going to miss this age. Its just so sweet. So amazing. So wonderful. I could go on and on. Its the best and I try to inhale his sweet smell and sweet breath because I know I only have a few more months of a snuggly new baby!

Zayne, I'm so in love with you. I'm so glad I didn't get to plan my life, cause if I did, you wouldn't be here and I absolutely cannot imagine my life without you in it. You are absolutely beautiful. You light up my life just like your sister and brother do. I feel like the luckiest girl, and am the luckiest Mom. You are amazing Zayne Kyle. I am so thankful for you and look forward to watching you grow (and smothering you with kisses and cuddles, deal with it ;)

Heyyyyy! I had a Baby! Again.

Long time no see :)
Poor 3rd babies...Raya's life was pretty much documented every hour, Kallen was monthly (kinda) and Zayne hasn't even had 1 post! What the heck. So here I am, diving in! And hoping to record as much as I can about this new guy :)

He's PERFECT. Need I say more? He's gorgeous, he's sweet, he's cuddly. He's healthy and happy and I just feel like the luckiest girl. He was born November 13th, 2012 at 11:58 in the morn. Weighing 7lbs, 8oz, 19in. I'll post the "Birth Story" sometime. But in a nutshell he was overdue and I was induced at about 7:30 on the 13th and had him about 4.5 hours later. It was a pretty uneventful labor and delivery. Which is always great! I had a pretty nice recovery and was home by 2pm the next day. I'm a baby making machine, its true ;)

He will be 2 months old tomorrow. He first smiled at me on my 30th birthday: Dec 26th. That was a pretty amazing birthday present! I think he probably planned that. He was 7 weeks old. Can you believe that?! He definitely kept me waiting. And it was sure worth it. Now he's a smiley baby and its THE BEST. Did I say he's gorgeous? Cause he is. And the smiling just Melts.My.Heart. He's also started Cooing alot. It just makes me smile right back. Its absolutely impossible to be in a bad mood when you have a snuggly, cooing, handsome baby to hang out with.

He's mostly pretty calm. He's a great eater. In 0-3month clothes and size 1 diapers. His big brother was a tank of a baby, so with Zayne I'm actually getting good use out of all the 0-3month clothes Kallen out grew the week he was born ;) He still sleeps a lot of the day (thankfully) He's very alert when he's awake and watches whomever is in the room. He will watch Raya or Kallen walk around the living room from toy to toy. He's VERY patient with his brother and sister. And by that I mean he's totally cool with them smothering him and always all up in his grill!

Raya and Kallen absolutely adore him. Kallen has stepped into the Big Brother role like a pro and Raya is just as good, if not better, this 2nd time around. She's actually really helpful for the most part! Shes such a sweet big sister and Kallen is such a loving big brother. They've all adjusted extremely well to each other and I can't picture my life without all 3 of them. Just like that. I have 3 kids and I can't imagine it any other way.

 

Zayne is a very sweet little boy. He loves to sleep on my chest. If he's even a slight bit tired I can put him on my chest and he falls asleep. He sleeps really well through the night, maybe wakes up 1-2times to eat, but he sleeps with me so neither of us really wake up more than a minute or so. I'm really well rested, usually getting a solid 7-8 hours of sleep a night. I even manage to get a nap in if I really need it! All my kids have been pretty good sleepers, luckily! So that's been a blessing.

I'm loving having 3 kids. I like the dynamic, I like the new sweet being that's in our home, I like watching Kallen as a big brother, I like that I have "Boys," I like that Raya's a little bit older and really gets whats going on and enjoys helping, I like seeing the differences and similarities between the 3 of them.... It was something I never imagined and would've told you I didn't want and thankfully I wasn't the one planning my life;)

You are amazing. Absolute perfection and I am beyond lucky that I get to be your Mom. I've only known you for 8 weeks and I'm already head over heels. You are pure sweetness. I'm so excited to watch you grow (just do it slowly ;) I will always be your biggest Fan baby boy!

Keeping Up with Kallen-- 18 Months Old!

Kallen Gentry...
A year and a half  (18months on July 3rd) !? Crazy how that happens :) You are still the sweetest, cuddliest baby. I so love my time with you. You are such a Mama's Boy and I love every minute of it!

You throw EVERYTHING. When we play with you, or really, anytime we're around you we have to watch you because you'll throw whatever you have at us. A ball, a cell phone, a sippy cup, an iPad. You name it. Theres already been a handful of times you've thrown something at me when I wasn't looking and got me good. The other night you threw a big 'ol light up play toy thing that was super heavy and hit me right in the ankle and hurt like a mother! I think something like that happens weekly. So we're guessing you're either going to grow up to be some sort of athlete that involves throwing (maybe a pitcher?) Or you're going to be a professional dancer. LOL. I'm gonna guess Daddy hopes for the first of those 2. And you don't just throw it...you look at me, or whoever you're throwing to and get it right to us. You also say "Catch" but that's usually after you've already chucked it. You have great aim and an incredibly strong overhand throw.

You have tons of words. Raya didn't have this many at your age. You say all kinds of things and you also mimic people really well. I remember getting the weekly Babycenter updates with Raya when they talked about "Oh at this point your baby is probably mimicking you." Raya never really mimicked, but you do a lot. Many times we can say a word and you'll say it right back (or at least attempt to ;) You say Mama, Dada, Raya (which sounds like Yay-Ya- so cute!), Jack, Dog, Nana, Bubble, Pop, Bye, BALL!, Catch, BBall, Tree, Jump, Mike (for Mike the Knight), bottle, just to name the ones I can think of. Oh and my 2 favorite words are Mickey Mouse and Chip. Mickey Mouse sounds like Mick Mou and Chip sounds like Chipeyy. Its hilarious and SO CUTE!!! You also do the sounds for Cow, Cat, Monkey, Frog, Dog, Bird and are getting pretty good at knowing all your facial features. You're just a little sponge these days!!! Raya wasn't very "babyish" and seemed older at this age, but word-wise you say a lot more than she did. You have 3 phrases and they are "Oh, Wow" "Ah Man" and "WoooW, Cool!"

You can jump with both feet at once. In fact you jump off your chair and stick the landing every time. You're a fast little runner. A great thrower. Love to do summer-salts. Love to swim. You let me take you under water occasionally and you have no problem jumping in. You LOVE the water. You hate any kind of floatie device and try to get me to let go of you. Obviously you can't swim by yourself, lol, so we are definitely working on it!

You have all of your teeth, except your molars. You've become a better eater....kinda. I still give you baby food because its the only way you get all your nutrients. You'll eat just about any kind of potato: fries, hash browns, baked potatoes, chips. You still drink 4 bottles a day. You'd probably drink milk all day long if I let you. You LOVE your milk. You also love fruit snacks and dum-dums. Dum-dums are my bribing tool with you. You are so content when you're eating one. Best idea ever!

Your Stats: You weigh 30.5 lbs and are 34.5 inches. That's the 95percentile for weight and 75percentile for height. You're in size 24month/2T clothes. You can still fit about half of your 18mon clothes, but for the most part you went from 12mon to 24mon, so I don't have many 18mon items as it is. You're in a size 7 shoe. You're in a size 4 diaper...I could probably put you in a 5, but you get more in the size 4 box ;) You are a solid kid. A Tank!

You have quite the temper, but that's not new. You've had a temper since you were in my belly. I remember trying to sit really still, or bracing myself in the car so I wouldn't move because you'd kick/punch me so hard and I thought if I moved less I'd be less likely to make you uncomfortable. HAHA!! You just get mad really quickly. And frustrated pretty quickly. You get over it just about as fast as you get worked up, but its still quite the fit.

You're a very happy boy. Typically you're pretty calm. You're not going 24/7 like your sister. You enjoy cuddling or sitting with me and watching TV or sitting out in the back. You make me laugh all the time. You know how to be funny and the faces you do are hilarious. Right now you're really into hugging and kissing me. Its the SWEETEST!!! You love your sleep and generally fall asleep really easily. Especially in the car. Sometimes you'll be asleep before I even start the car. You're down to 2 naps a day, morning and late afternoon. And you sleep pretty solid at night, although you HATE when you wake up in the night. You almost always instantly cry or holler. But as soon as you find your pacifier you fall right back asleep.

And you are still a huge DANCER!!! You dance all the time, especially to your Daddy's mixes. Lol. Your favorite show is The Fresh Beat Band. You stop everything you're doing and run to the TV and start dancing as soon as you hear the theme song. Its pretty hilarious. I have a ton of videos of you dancing. Its my favorite!!! 

I so love being with you everyday. I'm so lucky to have such a sweet son. You are my heart and I just can't believe I have a child that loves me as much as you do. Thank you for being so perfect!!! I love you!!!
